  • T-MPLS (ITU) vs. MPLS (IETF)
    ITU's version of MPLS and the original IETF standard look similar at the first glance. However, there are substantial differences, which should be discussed in this forum.

  • GMPLS Standards
    Label-inferred MPLS is forwarding packets based on a fixed length header field - the Label.
    Generalized MPLS (GMPLS) broadens this mechanism and uses all sorts of label representations (fibre,wavelength,time slot,interface, packet header etc.) for the same purpose.
